BEWARE OF SCAM MESSAGES

A little while ago,I got an e mail with the logo of fed ex on it.The message says:we're sorry but the package you sent on august 27th was not delivered due to an erroneous address. It instructs me to click on a button to download a label.Well my printer isnt working so I called fed ex about it and was told by the agent that they have gotten a few calls on this lately and that it isn't coming from fed ex.
So please be careful about opening anything or downloading things online. If you didnt send a package or expect a package then call the company rather than opening it online.

In honor of the memory of Cpl. Michael E. Thompson
No Tom B I didnt send anything, but I have recieved a few coin packages lately from all delivery services.
Now the best way is to not even select or open this kind of email, as they may get an acknowledgement back that it was read, and you get flagged as a good target. But this is hard not to do.
For any slightest hint of a problem, only move the mouse over the links on the page. Looking closely at the menu bar, can show that all the links go to some unknown place or have redirections to them, Not to FEDEX or whatever they are scamming.
Never click an unknown link. Each step down the rabbit hole, and they have more information on you and that you are more easy target.
Basically they are trying to trick you to go to their fake info page, and put in your info. Ouch! They are very successful over a large mailing.
Close the browser, then open a new one and go to the original site that is valid or call them.
those who are laughed at always have the last laugh
on. Phishing.

I get these on occasion and without even opening them, I know they are scams.
Why?
Simple.
I don't ship anything via FedEx.
The name is LEE!
It's easy to spot them, though. Mouse over the link in the email (don't click it) and the ridiculous website address will be revealed. And it goes without saying that you should never open a zip file.
