WHY IS EBAY JERKING AROUND WITH THEIR SEARCH PAGE?

Ok I took it off caps.
Lately Ebay has been changing page formats and sizes and today everytime I type in an item to search and click search it completely changes the search page to this
attrocious piece of very large everything. I really don't want to stand four feet back from my screen in order to actually see what I'm looking at.
I hope this apparent trial ends in disaster and they just leave well enough alone.

it frustrated the heck out of me; it didn't have certain features
on the same page, etc.......
All of a sudden, as of Monday afternoon, it went back to the
old method - maybe they got too many complaints (we called
and did so), or for some other reason it goes back to 'normal'
after a week or two......
All I know is - I'm glad it's back to the 'old day's' at this point.
<< <i>They screwed me up last night with a last second bid. I hit the bid, said I was high bidder, then all of a sudden, I was no longer high bidder and the bid I placed dropped off. Lost the seller about 28 dollars or so. The items closed at $27, but should have closed closer to the $55 mark with my bid. >>
This sounds like the seller had you blocked from bidding on his items to me?

Because they wouldn't be eBay if they didn't monkey around with their format and change it all up once in a while. Often the changes are for the better, but there have been times when I've felt like you, and wanted to shout, "QUIT TINKERING WIDDIT! IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!!!" at them.
But then I restrain myself.
I have been an E Bay member since 1998 and they have been going down hill since then!

HEY EBAY - IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT!!!!
And yes, I meant to use all caps. The search feature worked great before they started "improving" it.
It is Here.....
It's the goldfish bowl of online ebay consumer behavior.
If they try sticking you with the new suck version, go into your cookies and delete everything eBay. That should clear it up. Once in a while I will send them a message letting them know that the new search format keeps me from doing as much searching and probably buying off eBay, which is true. If they think it will hurt their bottom line, perhaps they will think twice.
The only constant with them is change.
Once you set up a system to work with their system, they change something, and you have to start over......ugh.

I've been nosing around eBay since 1998. I find the new look on the search results page to be very distracting and have contacted eBay to tell them so. I encourage everyone who reads this and agrees, to do the same.
I believe this is a classic case of "if it ain't broke, don't fix it"!
At a bare minimum, I would think they would give loyal existing users the option to choose the old version. I think that the new format is "busier" than its predecessor and will result in less page views and, quite possibly, lower final bids.
I adapt well to change. That's not the issue. What is the the issue is that I find the new version to be change for the sake of change and will be less likely to buy or sell on eBay should it be a permant move by them.

If they followed that rule it would be much better. Almost every time they "fix" something I like it less.
Maybe more calls will do the trick. I'm certain we are not the only ones that find the changes abhorent.
Mr. Willis has posted about there's a new shop feature on the price guide and forum members
post how they like the links to guess what, eBay listings and now here is a post about
eBay's search changing and members post how eBay really is a controlling monster.
