New Pix, old coin, 1893 Proof Morgan.
Here are some pix of an 1893 Proof Morgan that I've owned for 20+ years. The coin is in a PCGS PR65 rattler. I feel fairly comfortable that it would upgrade today, but I prefer it in the old rattler slab. If I ever sold it, the good Lord willing not for at least another 20+ years, I'd try and get it gold beaned by CAC. The first set of pix were done by Shane Canup and the second set of pix were done by Bob Campbell. I think they both did excellent jobs on imaging the coin.

I think the right buyer for that Gem Pr needs no bean or whatnot.

Edit to add - thats a 6+ or 7 to us now (I feel like Lorne Greene).
Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......
Looks borderline DCAM. Nope, changed my mind. It is Deep Cameo. Is that a hit on the eagles breast? Shame. I think that keeps it at 65. Maybe 65+ in today's world.

Grade dependent on how the scuff on the bird is valued.
Though it doen't seem to affect grading on this as well as most 91-93 proofs, is that is a full strike. While one would think it would affect the grade, it does not, even though it's highly unusual for any these dates.

If it was mistaken for a DMPL, you would be rich! (or richer). How crazy is that?!
Great coin Skyman.
Would love an opportunity to shoot a proof, it's so clean and hit free
It's a DCAM correct? Gorgeous piece

<< <i>Beautiful coin. And I also believe she deserves a DMPL.
It's a proof, not a bus. strike. >>

<< <i>I think I've seen this coin in person before when SkyMan was doing a show-and-tell of his coins at a local coin show. If I remember correctly I believe this coin is a very strong candidate for a gold sticker. >>
I was wondering, if this coin is graded pf65, and CAC thought it was 65cam or 65dcam, would that warrant a gold sticker, or does the numerical grade have to be determined to be undergraded as well? I agree that the coin looks awesome!!

It's a keeper
that has crossed past my eyes. It's not even toned
Actually toning would distract this most awesome piece.
Thanks for sharing and making my month!!!
