Proof Lincolns, a proven pain in the a$$

I got this crazy idea, why not see if I could image a proof Lincoln.
Anyone can shoot a Morgan or an ASE, there large coins with plenty of surface area.
Now kick it up a notch, add red, small diameter and reflectivity and you have a recipe for a challenge.
I can't imagine what it's like to shoot through a slab with toning. This cent is raw straight from a proof set
and is blazin red. Wasn't easy, as I could not spread the light evenly over the obverse.
No CAM or DCAM but it's a clean red proof.
Post some Lincoln proofs,
Scott

Proofs are always challenging but the nice thing about shooting them is you have to try lots of different techniques, which is always good experience and great for learning.

Nothing can duplicate trial n error, it can't be taught or read in a book.

Out of the slab is such a huge advantage ...
It's cool that these are all exactly 10 years apart, 1941, 1951, 1961 ...

That is nice - I haven't seen a lot that have toning on both sides that is so complete - and the color is awesome!
