1983-D Jefferson - Six Stepper!

Move on out old 1983-D, this little guy is movin' in! I've looked at lots of 1983-Ds and this is as close to 6 steps as I've seen. It would have been awesome to grade MS66FS, but a couple too many hits on the obverse. Let me know what you think?

Where'd you find it?!
Picked it up at a show in Texas a couple years ago and finally sent it in. There was an 1982-D sent in also and it graded the same, but not the strong steps like this one.
Beautiful strike.

all can be found with each of your three requirements, strike/luster/FS. however, it becomes a little harder to find coins with all three and exceedingly difficult to find coins with all three which grade higher than MS64FS. the coins are abundant in Mint Sets in that grade and lower with Full Steps although the tendancy is for nicks and bridges with an overall un-pleasing appearance due to excessive bag marks. after 1989 the Master dies were reworked giving better overall detail and resulting in a much higher proportion of coins with fully struck steps and overall detail. bag marks and bridged steps are still a problem.
out of all the 1980-1989 issues the 1982-P/D and 1983-P/D coins are the hardest to find simply because they are a roll coin only. they come with good strikes and nice luster but step detail is only fair at best. my experience in searching may be different from others but i seem to have the most difficulty in finding 1983-P coins.
