What are your best raw finds that graded and you have kept in your collection?

Most of us have cherry picked certain coins and kept them but still many have sold them.
I would like to see your best find or finds that you found raw and graded and remains and WILL remain in your core collection.
I have a few....
One is a token.... I searched for years, not really scarce but I wanted a superbly toned example. I found this one under a pile of tokens for sale in a local coin show
One a 1944 mint set where the 44-S graded a MS66. Very difficult to find with a great strike. I found this one on Ebay years ago.
And the last one is a darksider, again not exceeding rare date but difficult to find in better grade and nicely toned with deep mirror PL surfaces. This I also found years ago on Ebay,

<< <i>I bought a $5 Liberty at a flea market for a little over melt. Got it graded at the old ANACS (small white slab). It was an 1881/0 and graded AU58. It was a nice flashy coin with full luster and was very free of contact marks. >>
Wow that was a great find Perry... No pic?
I just love the old ANACS holders

When I finally joined the Collectors Club it went off with my first submission of the vouchers.
I don't really see me ever finding a upgrade for the date. BTW had it re-holdered this year to get the edge view holder.

One of these days I'm going to have to buy a camera and learn how to post a pic. This coin was slabbed after the A.N.A. sold ANACS but it looks properly graded. Looks like what used to be called a "super slider". I agree that the small white ANACS holder are nice.

I bought this neon reverse toned Lincoln for $75 and PCGS graded it MS65BN first time through (yes, it really looks like that on the reverse!)
This 1941 Proof Lincoln was $30. PCGS graded it PR64BN first time through. Big wow on the color.
I bought this 1917 Lincoln for $90 and PCGS graded it MS65RB first time through which guide prices around $200
This was a coup. I bought this raw for $395 from a local B&M coin dealer. PCGS slapped an MS64 grade on this first time through, which guide prices around $1800

My avatar over there was a raw ebay purchase for about $75.00
It's in a PCGS 64 holder. A lot of profit to take there, but I'll probably never sell that one.
Lance.
About the same time I bought this raw. Though I'm pretty meticulous with records, I can't find what I paid for it originally. But both me and my dealer believe it was VFish. Somewhere around $900.

Bought raw (eBay), now PCGS 62 (finest for the die marriage IIRC)
There are likely more, but posting this from a smartphone is a pita
It appears that eBay is/was a great place to get great raw coins at a bargain price even though many say it's not so

Needless to say, this will not leave me.
member last year for $100.00. Sent it in
to our host for grading and it came back
a 65FH !!!
granted there is a lot of junk that's raw out there, but more than enough needles in the haystack to make it worthwhile for those with a good eye.
Were it a raw pic as nice as what Mike posted, then I might. But would wager that as pictured is NOT how it was offered on eBay!
<< <i>Purchased off e-bay raw, now graded 65:
That is nice Mike. Is it PL?

<< <i>I paid $300 for this on Ebay raw. It now resides in a PCGS MS63 holder.
Now that is a GREAT score!!!!

<< <i>Paid off well for MikeinFL, but man, I'd be very leery of buying raw US gold on eBay especially (without being able to inspect in hand) and hoping for a good result upon submission to the TPGs!

The pic looked more like my avatar with about 1/2 the pixels.
In retrospect, I gambled and got lucky.

In hand it very much is.
One of my better pickups.
Also bought a Library Of Coins Album of MS 1938-1961 Jefferson Nickels at a B&M. The 1945 P Nickel is the DDR Variety and worth more as a single than I paid for the entire set.

NICE! but you never mentioned th eholder?
Edited to add I missed the star, ok NGC. But it isn't the finest known. I myself just passed on a drop dead gorgeous ms67 in old ngc no line fatty CACed, just thought you should know. >>
Wouldn't a 67 PLUS and STAR be considered finer than just a 67? What if I send mine and get it CAC'd?

More power to you -- I'm glad it paid off! Nice job.
