What are advantages of a "Secure" holder??

Tell me again: What are the advantages to the collector of a coin in a PCGS "Secure" holder vs. a regular holder??

the coin is scanned and a digital fingerprint is made. if scanned again, the coin will be recognized. this helps with anti-doctoring efforts and post-theft efforts
They also take a reguar photo of it and use that to help detect doctoring.
they also sniff the coins for foreign substances that could be used to doctor it.

They make the liklihood of a cracked coin being returned to an equivalent holder much much more probable.

Is any of this still true now that the quarterly special was re-holder from standard holder to Secure with no review of the coin?

Makes me wonder, I had a package of 4 ready to go in under the quarterly special and lucky I asked before sending, To just put a coin from one holder in to another without a possible upgrade seems alittle silly to me. I have two superbirds 67 cameos and wanted to see if I could get a plus, guess I will have to send them in under regrade as I had to buy another year anyway and have the vouchers for 4 coins WHICH can be used for the Secure plus Holders.Enjoy

SP resubmissions will be ID'd as having been previously graded. And the fingerprint will be examined to see if the coin has been artificially "improved".
