The very first Millennium Coinage and Currency Set #20000001 issued coupled with the very first Millennium Coins slabbed by ICG #00001

The Finest MS-68 VIP First Strike Sacagawea

MS-68! POP 3 with none higher!
This modern day rarity is one of only 12 VIP First Strike Sacagaweas from the US Mint's First Strike Ceremony that was slabbed and one of only 3 that graded MS-68, with none grading higher. As you can see from the scan, this is one beautiful coin. It looks even better than the scan indicates, believe me! Population 3 with NONE HIGHER!
For those of you unfamiliar with VIP First Strike Sacagaweas, they are about 9-10 times rarer than the heavily publicized Goodacre Presentation Dollars. There are 5000 Goodacres and only a maximum of 500-600 of these "VIP First Strikes", as they are commonly called. They are 125 times more rare than the Sacagaweas in the Millennium Coin and Currency Sets. On top of that do you know how few Sacs actually grade MS-67 or higher? Very, very few! The Golden Dollar just usually does not grade that high because of the metal of the coin itself.
First strike ceremonies for our country's New One Dollar Coin, The "Golden Dollar" were held at the Philadelphia Mint on November 18, 1999. The "VIPs", consisted of Senators, House Representatives, Mint Officials, Engravers, Designers, Dignitaries, Well-Connected Collectors and A Lucky Few Other Invited Guests. The highlight was of course the Ceremonial Striking of the First 2000-P Sacagawea Dollars. This was done personally by many of the VIP attendees, hence the name "VIP First Strikes". Similar to the coins presented to Ms. Goodacre, these coins were struck using specially prepared dies and planchets and on a press that was calibrated to strike medals and coins for uncirculated mint sets. This resulted in a much higher relief of the designs on the finished coins due to the higher pressure and slower striking speed. Though the US Mint has not verified the actual number of coins struck at the ceremony, it is widely known and accepted that there were only between 500-600 struck.
Due to a law that prohibits releasing coins to the public prior to the date on the coin, none of the attendees were allowed to take the coins home with them after the ceremony. Sometime in the first months of 2000, the coins were sent to the attendees encased in a special Mint box, with a Certificate of Authenticity and attractive Outer Box Covering, both of which are pictured and will accompany our coin to the winning bidder. The US Mint has officially acknowledged that at the Denver Mint's "First Strike" Ceremony on February 25, 2000, there were another 120 coins struck. Though these were "First Strikes" for the Denver Mint, I don't personally view these as "First Strikes" since the actual First Strikes of the Sacagawea Golden Dollar occurred at the Philadelphia Mint Ceremony.
Our research has led us to believe that less than 100 of these coins were later sold to other collectors and dealers--LESS THAN 100! We were lucky enough to own 12 of these babies.
These coins represent an entirely different "type" of Sacagawea Golden Dollar. They exhibit a duller satiny finish as opposed to the brighter appearance on circulation strikes. We are fortunate enough to have one of each type of Sacagawea "Issues", including even one of the 7 Non-Burnished Millennium Dollars, and we can attest that these coins have different qualities and reflect light differently than all the other issues. They are a must have for any serious Sacagawea Collector or anyone that wants to have the chance of owning a true "First Strike" coin. This coin will make a wonderful family heirloom and is sure to be a savvy financial investment. These types of opportunities are few and far between so you better jump on this while you have the chance. Don't wait until the very end of the auction to bid, or you might be disappointed!
For this Series of slabs you can tell the submission number by reading the last two numbers at the end of the number series under the bar code on the back of the slab. We have the ONLY slabbed and authenticated VIPs. Be very wary of any others you see unslabbed on EBAY or elsewhere! You may not be getting the coin you think you are. As the picture shows, this is VIP First Strike Sacagawea #1, the very first one slabbed!
Out of the 12 we had originally, we sold off all but 1. For such rarities, value is only determined by what one seller and one buyer agree upon on any given day, but I can tell you that the previous coins all sold at the $3000+ level and those buyers were happy to get the chance, period!
The Goodacres are seriously skyrocketing in price once again, I am sure partly due to the fact that the US Mint is done printing the original Sacs and now will change the reverse design each year, which they started in 2009. When the Sacs are done for good, I am certain the prices will explode.
These coins are more than 9 times RARER than the already exceedingly rare Goodacres, which has been rising substantially in price once again! You'll be kicking yourself later for not buying in now when you had the chance. Priced at $2999.99, which is less than I sold the other two 68s for.
You are always welcome to make an offer!

Numismatic related autographs have become very, very popular. Here is a highly collectable Sacagawea Dollar First Day of Issue Commemorative Coin Cover that has been signed by obverse designer Glenna Goodacre. Thirty-eight of these covers were donated by David and Mary Colleen Campbell to the New Mexico Nurses Association (NMNA) to be used as a fundraising project. Mrs. Campbell is a board member of the NMNA. The Campbell's asked Ms. Goodacre to sign the covers for this purpose. Each of the covers come with a Certificate of Authenticity attesting to the fact that it was signed on August 17, 2001 by Glenna Goodacre for the purpose of raising funds for the NMNA. The COA is signed by the three witnesses that were present during the signing. Others exist but are not accompanied by the NMNA COA.
I have 5 of these Goodacre Signed First Day Cover Sacs left for sale. $300 each

I found:
91.7% Ebay feedback.
Called customer "unreasonable" and "mentally unstable" for a neg. Please note that this behavior will not be tolerated in the forums.
Thanks.
I had 100% under the new system before then. I've encountered a few buyers like this over my more than 12 years on Ebay.
Customer service had even removed his comment and then somehow it got reinstated. Also initially customer service agreed that the client was irrational, threatening and irratic in his emails and clearly making up a story to not have to pay for the coin, which I let go for half the price to him.
And I was not the first to have had this problem with this particular buyer.
It was the only return I have ever had, and on an auction where I clearly stated there were on returns allowed. I don't even know why Ebay has that as a distinction as they clearly let buyers return items. All they have to say it that the item is different than described, even if it is not.
Give a little slack before you jump on me, ok?
Thanks!

I mostly use Ebay for advertising, not for actually selling thru. I prefer to sell outside Ebay.
The 91.7% rating is just for the last year, where I had 11 positives and 1 negative.
It's their new system.

I am intersted in adding another NMNA Signed First Day Coin Cover to the collection. The one I have now is abslutely legit because it includes: 1.) original dated photos of the signing ceremony 2.) a COA with original signatures 3.) the Original First Day Coin Cover US Mint White Mailing envelope with the Campbell's home adress on the mailing label. Does your offering include all 3? If it does, consider it sold.

Forgive me as I did not subscribe to my own thread! HA!
I have all the supportive materials that David arranged. All of mine came directly from him, as he was my paper money client as well and sent me 6-7 of these as a partial payment towards other items.
Email me at fancycashcom@gmail.com
Thanks,
Scott

If I wanted to hide my feedback I would not have openly shared it.
I can give you many references from paper money collectors in the currency forums that have bought from me. If you want to buy something I have, I would be glad to forward that information to you. Let me know what interests you.
Thanks,

5 or 6 still left, plus the other Sacs. Even more than is listed.
I have completed several other paper money transactions thru the forum as well, on top of all the people here that have bought from me on Ebay, so don't let my current Ebay feedback rating that was caused by a few nutty people over the last 12 years stop you.
