1918 Illinois Centenial new attempt at shooting
![morgansforever](https://us.v-cdn.net/6027503/uploads/authoricons/ccavatar1.jpg)
Purchased from illini420 last summer. I like it raw, I'm guessing 63.
This piece is a pain to shoot for some reason.
Bet if I had a DSLR and a decent lens it would be much easier.
The best I could generate, with my $100 P&S
EDIT: Fell free to post you Linclon comems. Love to see some higher graded pieces.

I used the vibrance feature on PB, just a bit to bring out the color.
Looks pretty much the same inhand, real close.
With a good idea of the toning you are going to see in hand.
A fine job on the image.
Looks really nice. A bit brighter would be my taste.
It's not really that bright n flashy. Both side are light brown and darkest around the edges.
I know, and I find myself always taking a bit darker pictures of coins. Then I go back and say, why is this so dark and kick it up.
You sure take some great pictures on that everyman's rig you run! Keep it up.
Made me laugh
The ArcSoft Photostudio 5.5 software came with the scanner. The computer was yanked
from the dump all it needed was a new HD. Installed a 100GB drive installed XP Pro
which I already had, updated it and was given an old flatscreen 17" monitor. The tower is a Dell
with a 2.0 GHZ P4 processor, DVDcombo drive, SoundBlaster sound card and a ATI vid card, with 512 ram.
Amazing what people will throw away.
Time to start metal detecting and life will be good! A lot of coins were discarded in the past, albeit not on purpose!
Doesn't seem to make too much sense to pay for more camera equipment when you can get shots that nice with what you already have!

Thanks Mike, try my best. I will have a DSLR soon, can't wait.
Abe looks just as good as the day I received it. Now in a Capital holder, keeping it raw.

Thanks Robec, coming from one who is a well respected coin photographer, that feels good.
Like I've always maintained, I try my best to generate the best possible image using what I have.
DSLR coming soon, look out
I also agree, Broadstruck does a great job on every coin he's imaged.
He also admits that he's lacking experience in photographing Proofs.
Another thought on his skills, he's a die hard fan of many other photographers.
It was he who introduced me to Messydesk.
