Any parking recommendations for the ANA?

I would prefer a self-park location somewhere between the Mint and the convention center.

Steve, when I went to the Whitman show two autumns ago I remember the parking costing at least $25 a day right around the convention center, If you prowl for a few blocks souteast, there is a nice garage about 5 blocks east and 4 blocks south, I forget exactly where it is but the street definitely flows to the north and there is a nice indoor raised level garage on the right side (east side) that was running a $10 per day special. Sure, it might be a little more.

It is not a short walk but it is a safe one.

It does not hurt to prowl and check the rates by fanning out east and south from the convention center. I found that going west and north did not save any appreciable money on parking.

If you are going with someone just drop them off leave your coins with them at the convention center and vice-versa.

    Yeah - good luck...

Parking in Philadelphia sucks; if you can accept that fact now, it will make the pain easier later. Being an old city, the layout is generally tight everywhere in center city.

There's a lot of small outdoor lots in the vicinity of the convention center, like within 1 - 5 blocks - including just on the other side of 676. I've never had a problem with those. Expect to pay a ton at the parking garages for the day, but there are some right by the convention center. Generally they all fill fast during the business day.

It is fairly easy to find inexpensive parking if you do not need to get out by 4pm. I paid $12 yesterday, had to walk through Chinatown, about 4 blocks; today the charge was $10 for another open air lot with the deal that I was coming back after 5. The walk was less than 3 blocks.

We went a little further out and parked for three days straight with an oversized vehicle, a large pickup truck for $40. The good part is we locked the car and took the kets in a indoor parking garage. Otherwise the rate would have been $10 per day.

It was on 8th street about 6 blocks south of the convention center.

Sure we could have found something closer and next time will take scarsdale coin's advice. Did not know about parking apps.
