I'm always a fan of the dropped letters. They're very interesting. What state is that one? Great pick-ups

New Mexico 2008 D which is cool because major errors are rare on later dated statehood quarters.

Anything other than a partial collar is cool on a late date statehood quarter imo. I think i remember seeing a couple dropped letters on the District of Columbia and possibly the Puerto Rico quarters. I think they are under-rated and under-valued.

Yes I agree, and the how do you determine a price for an error like this. I told a few non-error coin dealers what I paid for it and they looked at me like I was crazy.

Here are a couple more newps with Eye Appeal :

Rad Rossy Clash plus way more ...

I'm looking back at some records and the prices vary greatly at about $100 - $350. The D.C. and P.R. quarters sold around $350 and the three statehood quarters I see sold in the range of $100 - $250. It probably depends on the prominance and size of the letter.

BTW that Roosevelt clash is really amazing. Is it a 1999 or 2000?

Interesting dime there EoC, could you please show a complete, smaller shot of the coin?

Here is the image of the whole coin. It is also a really nice Mushroom Error and unusual because most mushroom errors are indents or brockages. This coin is a Massive Broadstruck, Split Planchet, and very strong tripled Clashed Dies Error. Fred believes the coin is dated 1999 D but is hard to make out.

A very cool multi error coin ......

Very cool. Initially you said it was a clash but I thought "Man, there's brockage going on there". Thanks for clearing that up. image

The pressure must have been way too much on the press resulting in the very strong clashed die error as well as the massive broadstruck.
