Mid-16th century crusty and scarcer Salzburg Taler

These do not grow on trees and one can see the inferior minting technology compared with mid-17th century and beyond. I used to like these less until visiting Salzburg and seeing the Dome and graves of all these bishops. Also appreciating the challenge of making these over 450 years ago. This is a scarce piece that popped up on Ebay mid day last week fortunately during my lunch break scan. I did not hesistate given the original look and decent grade for this type.

Michael von Kuenburg (1554–1560) Taler/Guldiner
Probszt 418. DAV-8170
