I don't think so. It was a BIN, and I don't think it was listed for very long.

The "light scratch through the date" looks like another die crack to me.

BTW there are no scratches that I can see on the coin (as he states) they are die cracks.

The scratch mentioned in the description looks to be a die clash line from the scroll. Nice Coin!

I think if it had been graded the seller would have a bunch more money in his pocket now.

I guess it pays to watch EBay. There used to be some automated way to bid on these auctions (besides the way I do, which I would call impulse sniping).

The coin looks great to me and the description is good too. not a bad catch for the $350 price. Nice Die crack on the obverse.

I always worry posting a rip on here before the coin gets shipped. Its funny how often sellers find out how much money was left on the table.

I was thinking the same thing, I would not post openly until I had it safe an secure in hand. A freind of mine that searches buffalo's sniped a 16 ddo in Vg for a few bucks once, but posted it openly on a forum and guy didnt send it. Not sure if it was due soley to that, but still !

It appears the seller priced it with a BIN at what the Half would sell for.

Billet - What should a coin like this go for?

A coin like this in XF I would guess should be worth around $1,000 more than the price paid wholesale.

I bought it, yes thank you very much.

If it goes XF40 I would say a minimum of $1300. I'm betting it's a 45 or even AU which would be more like 2k certified.

I hope this doesn't mess anything up with the deal, I would feel bad if my actions made things go awry. Hopefully since it's been a few days the coin has already shipped and it's a done deal. If I thought it could be a problem I would not have posted it for all to see.

I wish it were being shipped to me!
