Four Car Pile-Up

So is $15k a good place to start on this? It is not certified though, wonder if it would fit in a fat holder?

Incredible 4 Coin Set Of Bonded Dimes With Cent On Dime Planchet On Top!!

Never offered for sale is this amazing 4 coin bonded set of dimes with as you can see a cent planchette atop this cluster of dimes. The piece weighs in at 9 grams. Equal to 4 dimes at 2.23g. Incredible luster and sure to be a high grade and guaranteed genuine as I've showed this to a major error dealer not long ago. This is for the serious error collector.

So in non EBay mobile English it's a reverse Lincoln Memorial cent die cap stuck on 4 clad dime planchets image

I don't understand how that could have been made at the Mint. I see that it looks legit but
I also surmise that it was an employee fooling around on the late shift. What are the odds
that this could have happened just by circumstance?

I've heard stories of YN's on the Denver Mint tours when they used to offer floor tours throwing in loose change into the wrong bins just to force out errors image

I know this seller personally, I'm going to have to get the scoop about this one.

It's a bonded pile-up involving four dime planchets that made their way into a press that was striking cents. I see nothing that would indicate it is anything other than a mint product. As to whether it had an assist, there's no way to be sure. It is highly improbable as a spontaneous error, but not impossible.

The strong cupping on the die-struck reverse face would indicate that the reverse die was functioning as the hammer die. That setup is mainly associated with Schuler presses, and these have not been generous in producing bonded coins.
