Grade the Summer Fun NEWP......1925-D Buffalo....Grade Revealed

Had a decent day at the show. Was able to pick up a hand full of Buffs.

The '25-D has been one of the tough dates for me to find with a decent strike. I thought this one had a lot going for it.

Care to put a grade on my 1st purchase?

Obverse hair and feather detail a little weak. Like the fact that LIBERTY and UNITED STATES OF AMERICA stand out. MS64+???

A very tough date for strike. I think the reverse looks 65 all day and is nicer than my 65. Braid is weak on obverse but i think it gets over the line to 65. Nice pick-up.

    I grade it 65 -- likely in a 64+ holder

1925-d buffs are in a class by themselves. This is the last date I got for my buff set also trying to find a well struck coin-- there just aren't many, even in BU condition. If you see a 1925-D buff in any grade with a full well-struck date-buy it because you may not find another for a long while if at all. I really like this one-- 66

I think the coin goes 65, if I should decide to resubmit. Didn't even have to pay a premium for it either image

Hate to lose that OGH but that reverse is one heck of a strike for a 25-D. Worth re-submitting at some point.

    64? Wow!

Buyer and seller of vintage coin boards!

  • Is there a light scrape at 3:00 o'clock on the obverse rim? Even with that,it looks better than a lot of the 65's I
have seen---unless it has hairlines that are not visible in your photo.PCGS will downgrade for hairlines---in a dark
room, they light up under their grading lights.
