the picture must go all the way through the attachment process, then once it is attached you can use that url of the attachment in the "img" tags for the post.

not a lamanation i have ever seen

i'm thinking most likely since it's raised either a die chip or something was on the die when it struck the blank

either way it's a interesting error

something on the die generally gets struck into a coin vs struck into a die, since hardened dies are harder than the coin. something on the die generally dents the coin, instead of later leaving a raised mark.

likely just a die chip since cuds result from die chip and breaks at the rim of the coin. similar idea but 2 different names depending upon location.

not worth much since it's not major, but it's a dime and you found it and it is a numismatic curiosity for you. I'd keep it for the fun of it as I done the same with the few minor chips I've found. what's 10 cents buy these days anyway?

Id agree with the others , a die chip. I found this one in a PCGS slab , 1958 MS67 but the die chip doesnt even get a mention on the slab.It cost under 10 bucks.

It's unlikely to be a die chip, as these seldom form in the field. While it might be a die dent, the most likely candidate is a "bleb". A bleb (or as Ken Potter calls it, a "patch") is a raised blemish that corresponds to a die erosion pit on the die face. In later die states, irregular, shallow pits can form on the die face, possibly as the result of de-carburization of the die steel.

trust this guy more than me

I was calling the die erosion bleb and chip the same thing (chip) all this time.
