Yes another eBay question...

I sold a few coins on eBay. One buyer bought 2 of the coins. I recognized the buyer. They bought under a different name. No big deal. They paid me and I shipped them out. Now, they re-listed the items they bought from under their selling name. Again, no big deal. Flipping isn't a crime. What the buyer has done though, is taken my images from my auction without contacting me and it looks like they may have been "toyed" with a bit. I am not sure how to feel about this. One part of me feels like it's no big deal, but another part of me feels like it is rude. How would you feel about it?

IMO you have been used. You might consider blocking both of their eBay ID ... integrity is worth more than a few bucks.

People figure they own the coin, and it's a picture of their coin, so its ok to use it. I personally probably wouldn't care, but my pics are generally not that great. He should have probably at least asked, and isn't there technically an ebay rule about lifting someone else's picture like that?

Lots of images get stolen on Ebay, often by scammers... I'd notify Ebay that this guy not only took your images but altered them.

I hate it when sellers add watermarks. It takes me forever to scrub them off the coin when it arrives.
I wouldn't mind at all. He bought the coin from me and he can use the images. No big deal. I am not out anything.

That is very rude. They should at least have to decency to ask your permission to use your photos.
FYI, you can watermark the images with your name. Many do.

That's exactly what happened to me happily as a buyer. I paid $637 for a Morgan that the seller bought for $635 about a week prior. Seller emailed after
completion that it was " my gain,his loss" because of all the associated sellers' fees and shipping costs.It was also sent free shipping.
