I've been going to school for 54 years...

Hi guy's! Sad thread, sorry. My father just passed Tuesday night. He was 80 years old, that's why I said; I've been going school for 54 years. All my life Dad's been teaching me. What a guy! Good father. Can you post any 1932 coin? That's the year he was born. I always joked with him, asking him: " Dad,why couldn't you of bought a few bank rolls of the 1932P/D Quarters?" Thanks guy's in advance!image

So sorry to hear about this. Father's are special people.

Don't have any 1932 but here's one that 100 years older than that.

  • Sorry for your lose Joeykoins. My Dad passed in 2006. He was born in 1932 as well. I don't have a photo to post but I did buy him a birth year set many years ago. I'll have to see if I can find that.

I think of him often because I find myself repeating sayings he had or stories he would tell us. He's still around, just a different form.

    Take care.

I'm sorry to hear this news. 80 was good. Hope I make it that long and can pass so
much along to my kids and grandkids. It is good to see fathers and sons close. I too,
don't have a coin pic handy for '32 but can you just imagine a nice 1932 Peace dollar?

    sorry for your loss
happy you had 54 years too

it truly can be hardtimes...i know it was for me when daddy passed away
toughest part was when they played taps and an honor guard handed a flag to my mom sitting besides me
    to include
    signing my name as "jr."

My sincerest condolescences to you and your family.

I was one month shy of my 50th when my Dad passed away at age 85.

Then when I tried to celebrate my 50th birthday in August we had that blackout on the entire east coast!

things got better for me and it will for you too.

Sorry for your loss. My dad was also born in 1932 and luckily he is still with me. 1932 was a year that very few different denominations were minted. 1 cent, quarters and some gold was about it.
