the reverse is really nice but the obverse hits kill it for me. i don`t think i would have it graded.
    my ebay items BST transactions/swaps/giveaways with: Tiny, raycyca,mrpaseo, Dollar2007,Whatafind, Boom, packers88, DBSTrader2, 19Lyds, Mar327, pontiacinf, ElmerFusterpuck.
  • In my opinion, I would say no. That ding on the cheek and what looks like a fingerprint on the reverse will limit the grade. Buy one already slabbed in the grade you are looking for, or find a better example and send it in-- that would be my $0.02

Probably not worth it. 1921 Morgans are difficult to get PL or DMPL and when you do you will have a difficult time getting anywhere near sheet for them.

I think the key you are referring to is the '21 Peace dollar.

I'll concur. This one doesn't look to have enough for PL. Too bad about that hack on the face, too.

<< <i>and when you do you will have a difficult time getting anywhere near sheet for them. >>

I just pulled up some Heritage sold lots and 63PLs have sold for roughly $200, even without a sticker. The PCGS price guide has them at $100, which is far lower than any of the other prices cited on Heritage. What's greysheet on a PL? I'm thinking if you can get one for PCGS retail, it's a steal, especially if graded to today's PL standards.

It is my obverse photo didn't come out like it looks in hand. But the reverse is a lock PL!

When I had a 64DPL in an old holder that I tried to sell last year I had a coin that was realistically worth about $1800 - $2200 despite the Greysheet listing them at the time at $7200 or around that.

Attractive low grade examples (of any date) can always be sold. That is true of any coin in any series.

PL, DPL or not, the 1921 Morgans are often the least wanted and least salable of any Morgan date.

you mean "those gashes." check out the one above her head and those below her chin. if it weren't for those, i'd probably send it in. the finger print on the back doesn't bother me at all.
