    Nice addition!

...i can recall as a kid, getting hold of a MS-60 coin was thought of as quite an achievement! image

Hey, Shroomdude. Meant to PM you and say hi when I came out of my two-month yeti hiatus, and now I run into you. On... *gasp!* The Liteside, of all places.

    I won't tell. image

Can you describe its 60-ness? What keeps it out of a 61 holder?

very easy, just look for an uncirculated coin with tons of bag marks, you surely will find a winner.

I see there are about 8,000 Morgans graded MS60 by PCGS not counting PL and DMPL. There are about 7,000 MS67 coins. I would think a lot of the MS60 coins have been cracked out. This is only the second MS60 I have seen for sale. I missed out on the first, wasn't going to miss this one.

When I get the coin I'll try to get closeups of the obv and rev.

That is not the only way (i.e., on the basis of too many marks) to arrive at an MS60 grade. I have seen a few Morgans that were silently net graded MS60 because they were weakly struck and had no luster (battleship gray color, and had almost certainly been seriously overdipped).

The closeup image, from the auction firm, shows the face really marked up. A solid MS60 IMO, which is exactly what I wanted.
