USPS rant

I was looking up a package today on the USPS website with there tracking expecting a package to arrive here today( the package was not suppose to get here until Monday which I was shocked that it was on route for today ) says Out for Delivery July 07, 2012, 8:30 am and at 10:30 this morning I seen the mail lady outside I went to go check the mail package not in the mailbox... but it gets better I called the post office and asked why I never received the package the guy was on the phone was very nice he said it was odd and he will look for the package and would call me back well 5 minutes later. He called me back and says he found it and somehow it was misplaced and asked if I wanted to come pick it up or to have it redelivered today,I said I would like it to be redelivered and thought it was very cool for them to send out another truck on a saturday to get it to me. Well I wait around for about 3 hours and guess what I seen the USPS truck and I was about to walk outside and the guy drives off not even attempting to even get out of his truck or even honk his horn I understand its a Saturday but its his job. Funny part was the USPS driver left a notice already filled out already saying Sorry We Missed You and I have to come pick it up monday. Thanks for reading my rant been a slow day

Sure it isn't fun to wait around and always a bummer when the delivery person isn't on the ball so I'm with you there.

I see online where package is out for delivery.
I wait at home all day.
Never comes to the door.
Just sticks a note in mailbox at the wtreet saying sorry I missed you because we are down a long driveway and he does not want to drive down it.
Really poor service.

That's the old "You can catch more flies with honey than vinegar" line of reasoning. There's enough vinegar to go around at around most forums.
