June 17, 2012: 1936 Washington Quarter with video

Absolutely superb weather today - just sun all day and around 80 degrees. It was very slow going at first with barely a clad quarter. Was hoping for at least a wheat cent, but hopes were slim. Just got done digging a piece of junk and 2 inches from that a quarter signal appears. It wasn't right on the surface, so there was a chance of it being silver - and it was! It looks like 1936 - the 10x magnifier actually makes it harder to discern.

Took a video, and actually, the most exciting part of the video is that I learned how to focus, haha.

    WTG!

Y'know, after all these years, I have yet to find a Washington from the 1930s? It's just never happened for me.

Collector since 1976. On the CU forums here since 2001.
