My 7-year-old son broke his forearm today. Show me coins with big die cracks

Two, displaced fractures in the forearm falling off a swing at the pool.

He's going to have them set tomorrow.

Make me feel better!!

He'll be OK.

Greg

No, my wife is a HS teacher and we have insurance.

Here he is in all his glory. He had a shot of morphine at the ER, and I just gave him some codeine and Tylenol 30 minutes ago.

ouch! As a former 7 year old that broke his forearm, I can commiserate!

Hopefully the medical technology has improved in the 47 years since that time!

Poor kid. I've been there too. As a kid though, not yet as a parent.

My son broke his arm too when he was about 10.
And I broke mine twice as a kid.
I can tell you from experience that it was a lot harder on me when HE broke that arm then when my own arm broke...

Hang in there Pop, it'll all be fine!

    could cheer him up too

when i was 15 i fell off a cliff from 30 feet up...
my buddy up above me...well his foot released a rock that hit my shoulder causing me to go
with arms out i ended up bouncing off my head then came back down on my rt arm
    produced what my boy did

    booger of it

with a head injury...pupils of unequal size (17 stiches)
they give you no pain relievers water or food
my arm in a cardboard splint was rolled over on in the middle of the night

yup...his arm...let him know...had he a head injury too...he would of felt it a wee lil bit more...image

    Poor kid!

I was up all night last night setting broken arms. Bet you can't guess what I do for a living.

Here's a nice 23-D with a die crack. It's a bit hard to see in the photo but the crack runs around about 90% of the circumfrence.
