Question for the Kennedy guys

I know that there are quite a few DDO's and DDR's in the series, but are there
any really hard to find varieties, or ubber valuable varieties ?
In other words, are there any that I should really keep an eye out for ?

you are not going to cherry one...but the
1964 sms
there it is...that's the variety...you'd be after
anacs i believe tossed a bone in that they called some of them 1964 satin

btw
no kennedy guy here...just know a lil is all...but i like what i know

There are several nice one to find.

Watched a PCGS PR69CA 1964 which happened to be the DDR-003 sale for over 6 grand on Heritage last winter. TOO rich for me

The '74-D DDO is the one I look for.
I think it might be valuable in a very high grade?

Like mentioned in other posts,there are many! I for one would keep an eye out for the " Accented Hair " variety. 1964 Proof Kennedies,are fun to find. Look for the '' Wishbone " in Kennedy's hair. or the '' I " on the obverse,where the bottom of I is cut-off! I would buy a Kennedy variety/error book to help you even more. Collecting these are fun and profitable.

Dr.Wiles book is a great resource. There are many varieties. I recollect over 30 die marriages for the DDO 1966 SMS half. Perhaps the best known is the 64 Accented Hair, which was mentioned earlier. Many of the DDO or TDO coins are easy to spot, and all have at least marginal value. Also, there are a good number of rotated die coins, as well as the abraded die coins with no designer initials. There is also the Accented Hair 1964 Proof. It can be worth a ton in DCAM and a pretty nice find even without cameo contrast.

I'm always buying them in original government packaging. PM if you find some.

Probably the easiest free way to find which variety's have the most premium is to check the "with varieties" or complete sets in the registry.

Edit to add the most premium is the one the least have.

I've read the book, it is not much
