1936-D Buffalo.....3 1/2 leg.....is this a legit variety?

Digging thru my " sort box" I came across a 2x2 with said above coin. Best I can find is it's a variety that trades at a premium.........Will this be attributed by PCGS or across the street?

Thanks for the help folks, I am really gaining an interest into the buffalo series :-)

Sorry, again, cannot post pics untill I get puter desk and a coin area setup again. Just moved into a new place and kinda disheveled for the next cpl weeks.

    Jack,
I checked the Wexler/Pope/Flynn book and the 35-D is not listed as one of the years that includes a 3 1/2 leg variety. 27-D and 36-D are the last two dates for that variety listed. With luck, Koynekwest (his book) or Garrow or CoolKarma will wander in and give you a better answer.

AJ, you sure it's not a 36d? I have a 37 d 2 1/2 feather that isn't in any book as far as I know. Can't wait to see pics! You may have one rare bird on your hands!

Check the mint mark placement on yours with a known specimen.

The best way to tell if a variety is recognized by PCGS is to go out to the set, in this case the Buffalo Complete Variety set and see if it is listed. If it is PCGS does that variety.
