What is George T. Morgan's middle name?
A couple dealers and I got to talking at a show over the weekend, and this was the trivia question we couldn't come up with an answer for. Do you know?

You can only be considered a true geek if you knew that in the episode called "Where no man has gone before" Capt. Kirk's middle initial was R. instead of T.
That is geek points!

Not bad, not bad, but the extra super geek would know that the original captain of The Enterprise was Captain Christopher Pike, played by JEffrey Hunter :-)

<< <i>When you are through figuring out the answer to this post, then tell me what is Harry S Truman's middle name? >>
"Ess"
Please visit my website Millcitynumismatics.com
You are correct. The S in Harry Truman's name derives from relatives names from both sides that started with the letter "S". Per Wikipedia as one sourse, this was common practice among folks of Scots-Irish ancestory. I grew up in greater Kansas City, only about 5-6 miles from the Truman home in Independence.
And I'll see your geekiness and raise you one: Capt. Kirk's "wrong" middle initial was never stated in any dialogue. Instead, it was engraved on a headstone erected by the villian of the week. But all was well after he got blasted by a phaser rifle and then had a mountain dropped on him!
And re Truman...his lack of an actual middle name is indicated by the "S" without the period. He thought his name needed to sound more distinguised...hence the need to create a middle initial.

So the writers had the villain get it wrong on the headstone...adding to the reasons why the villain was indeed the villain.
