Do dealers and auction firms guaranty the authenticity of slabbed coins?

    Hello again,

I want to mention that RR auctions, who handle mostly signed material, guarantees any signed item they sell forever. Even a slabbed or authenticated item. At many other venues, buying something slabbed, certified or with a COA or LOA seems to invalidate any return. Goldberg (coins anyway) for example states any coin certified by just about anyone (they list 10 grading companies) may not be returned for any reason at all. I find it ludicrous that some of these auction houses, after stating all this about no returns, will provide expert appraisals for a fee.

I also agree there should be recourse for forgery, fakes, altered/counterfeits and other serious issues with coins, paintings, comics etc.

    Best wishes,
    Eric

I know which ones I sent in. PCGS or NGC will guaranty their authenticity. I saw a phoney recently. It kind of pissed me off as well as frightened me.
