Screaming Chick or Gallic Amazon

An uninspired Herbemont that appears to be a synthesis of Morlon's Gallia and Bottee's Marianne. And get a load of that punch mark on the rim. Vendor described it as a Teddy Bear. Looks more like a bare teddy!

    Wow

The 2nd and 3rd are freaking amazing.

I love it. Have any more info on the 2nd and 3rd medals?
I would love to get one myself.
    Thanks.

I like the second one. Morlon has quite a few awesome creations.

I agree - love the second one. Is this his depiction of Marianne?

Regarding Gallia, I think there is something political happening. I suspect that Gallia represents French nationalism while Marianne is the personification of the Republic and its ideals. I further suspect that the Herbemont figure is meant to combine the two ideals. His figure clearly is a warrior in the Gallic mode, but she wears a helmet featuring the rooster that wakes the people to action.
Note that Bottee's figure lacks the braids of the Gallic warrior and further wears a helmet with what appears to be a sprig of olive.

I dunno, I've seen the lovely 3rd medal before and the 2nd is striking. but I think the first is one of the funniest designs I've ever seen - I absolutely love it and almost never use that term even for the areas near and dear to me. The headdress looks like a table decoration from a 1950s chicken restaurant and the layout just looks unbalanced - perhaps a bit too much of the "green fairy" that day? What in the world was the designer thinking and what would have a recipient of the medal thought – something like “but I thought I won!” Anyway, congrats on what I think is a delightful medal and thanks for sharing.
