Question regarding 1968 Topps

I recently picked up two cards from the ‘68 Topps series, both of which I just love because the reds just pop with this design. The Brock is a bit more brighter and richer than the Maris, leading to my question - is this common for the series? Looking at other Maris’ on eBay, they all seem to be a bit lighter in color.

I’m fairly new to vintage, so I apologize if this is a stupid question.

Yes, from series to series the tone and as well the burlap pattern on the front will vary.

Exactly. I have collected this set for 25 years and have a Mint raw/graded set that I cherry picked each and every card for and there is no uniformity from series to series.
