Has there ever been an explanation of where/how they got all this supposed "game used" memorabilia, especially from players who have been retired/deceased for decades? Some of it just "stretched the bounds of credulity" in my opinion. I saw a card on ebay that is supposedly a piece of Kirby Puckett's jersey from Game 6 of the 1991 World Series, the most famous game of his career. Not buying it(figuratively or literally).
I actively collect Kirby Puckett. I have collections of Michael Jordan, Emmitt Smith, Roberto Clemente, Dwight Gooden, Tom Seaver, Errict Rhett and Evan Longoria.

What year was the card manufactured? I think in the early 2000's product pretty much everything is suspect.
The Puckett card in question is below. Its from the 2017 line.

Read it close...I don't see anywhere on the back of card that it says the material is from a certain game. Most likely it's from a pair of game used pants.

I agree with vols, if it was from that specific game, it would say it on the back. The card manufacturers aren't that specific on where they get their gu stuff anyways. The old timers stuff, a lot of times, is not from their playing days, but from an old timers game late in their life.
