Question for modern basketball collectors

Obviously nothing is ever exact, but I'm trying to get a feel for where everyone views the hierarchy. Would you say this rough analogy is correct?

Prizm = Bowman Chrome or Topps Chrome
Prizm Silver = base refractor

I'm not a big modern BK collector but I buy and rip a handful of boxes each season chasing RCs and Silvers. I agree with your assessment.

    Arthur,

I don't collect a lot of modern, but those I do collect I agree Prizm = Topps Chrome and the same with Silver + refractor. I was never a big fan of the Bowman Chrome Basketball.

Thanks guys. I kept seeing that there was no shortage of supply yet they always brought consistent strong prices and that's what made me think of it. I've never seen one in person but I've been meaning to pickup the Tatums so I'm sure it won't be long.

Prizm is actually more akin to Finest. Donruss Optic is more akin to Topps Chrome. Prizm is much more popular though.

Do you mean in terms of make and feel of the cards?

Donruss Optic, from a set design perspective, is closer to Topps Chrome as it's basically a higher quality/parallel version of a base set.

Prizm though has replaced Topps Chrome as far as being the go-to standard, old fashioned, rookie card to buy.
