Timing of your snipes - Down to either 3 or 4 seconds Let me know

I am pretty new using Gavel Snipe and i wanted to know what timing do most people use. 2, 3, or4 seconds left in auction? Or something else. Thanks.

Any of those will work. People have their own preferences, I use 3 seconds.

I've never used Gavel Snipe, but I know with Bidding Scheduler it tells you that the 3 seconds (the lowest setting that they have) has a higher failure rate of not going through.

I always manually snipe at 2. If some one is higher they get it anyways and if there's not there isn’t enough time to even click one of the prepopulated bid increase buttons. I’ve never had a bid rejected for not going through.

6-8 seconds is the best from research I've read, you don't want to be outsniped so it is still better to get your snipe in before all other snipes. The low end, 6 seconds, was determined to be the most allowed time that is still impossible for a manual bidder to react to.

So six seconds for manual, three seconds thru Gavel snipe? Does that sound right?

Three seconds on Gavel Snipe has been working for me.

High Grade - 6 sec for manual or Gavel snipe? I'm old and get confused easily.

I've always manually sniped with 2-3 seconds left, but have missed a lot when the computer doesn't cooperate. I'll be trying a program soon to avoid that frustration.

It really doesn't matter, 3 or 4 seconds. Personally, I would make it 5 because if your increment isn't high enough, the previous sniper will win it, if the snipes are close together. Just make sure you bid high enough.

Bid high enough. However, don't bid so high you feel sick to your stomach if you win.
