Bo Jackson Collectors

For those of you collecting high end Bo cards, can you give me a top 5 list of his rarest and most sought after cards. I started to collect when he was a rookie but just his regular issue cards. I see he has a lot of minor league cards and oddball items but was wondering about his most desirable cards as well as his most expensive cards. Was watching his 30 for 30 again and just can't get enough of what he did. I'm not looking to collect his stuff but I know he has a hardcore collector base and would love your opinion on his most sought after cards. Pics are always a plus. Thanks

I am not a Bo collector, but I appreciate him especially after living in Auburn for a while. My top 5 would be(yes I have an affinity for oddball items):
1987 Classic
1990 Score
1987 Auburn Great Baseball
1986 Donruss Highlights White Variation
1986 Memphis Chicks Gold
The only PSA 10 Memphis Chicks Gold just sold for nearly 3k

I have a feeling that card would sell for more through PWCC.
This is a tough one: 1987 FLEER BASEBALL'S BEST BOX BOTTOM-HAND CUT

The 1990 Score card is my favorite.
I'm watching a 1986 Topps Traded Tiffany Bo Jackson BGS 9.5 card ending tonight. It's not mine and out of my range but curious how high it goes as all subs are 9.5 or better.
@Tomi here's a pretty thorough checklist of Bo cards that includes pics.

These two are must haves besides rookies. I think they’re top two must have and this listing is reasonable for a pair of for PSA 10’s.

The seller is an awesome guy, I know him really well
Doesn’t change the fact they’re must haves outside of rookies.
I noticed a 1987 Broder Bo Jackson PSA 10 recently sold for $500 (not my card). Relative to the OP here, I'm not sure about it being his most sought after, but it is most definitely his rarest only because they don't grade them anymore so the population will remain at 5 for the foreseeable future. It makes me wonder what the actual price of this card would be if they were still open to grading them. The cards are easy enough to find raw though at inexpensive prices. For now, cards like the one in that auction it has quite a premium for similar reasons as we see with the 1985 Star basketball cards in PSA holders.

The other risk is that since PSA currently does not grade this card it may lead to them pulling the card from the set registry. This would depress value as it would no longer be a requirement for the set I believe. Has happened in a set I have been working on.
Possibly, but more often than not, they won't pull it if at least 4 are graded (regardless of grade distribution) and are therefore available, same general availability rule of quantity as they use for print run / serial number.
Didn't know that. Good to know.
My reference was to the Mike Schmidt Master set. 1974 Johnny Pro, pop 16, PSA no longer grades, card was taken out of master set requirement.
All I know what’s that I was so pumped up to get the 87’ Donruss RR card back in the day. Still love that card.

Wow! I submitted 4 of the 5 10's graded. Sold them back in 2014 and 2015. Great price. I should have held on to them. This particular one went for $41 back in 2014. NIce ROI for someone(s).
Thanks,

I think the ROI is almost entirely related to "No Longer Grading"
I just now saw this thread and will throw in my two cents regarding the scarcest cards.
As the owner of the #1 PSA and BGS master sets, I can say with 100% certainty that his 1989 Score Football Promo and 1990 Donruss Blue/White Test Issue are his scarcest cards in any condition. In fact, they will probably be the ones that keep me from 100% completion.
If I had to pick the next three scarcest cards I would probably go with (in no particular order) any of the three 1990 Donruss Aqueous Test cards (these were never supposed to make it out of the factory), the 1990 FACT Pro Set Cincinnati (these were given out as educational tools to 4th graders in 29 Cincinnati-area schools) and the 1990 Pro Set Super Bowl XXV (these were supposed to be destroyed as the Buffalo Bills actually crushed the Oakland Raiders in the AFC Championship Game).
The 1987 Auburn McDag Football as well as the 1993 Memphis Chicks Modern All-Stars are up there as well.
The 1987 Broder Rookies were homemade cards and should have never been graded to begin with. Regarding the PSA registry, the spec will not be removed from the master set registry but rather moved to optional status since the cards are no longer being graded.
