1991-D LMC Doubling?

Not sure what I am seeing, so I'll just ask you! I saw this 1991-D penny and it looks like a ghost image or just reflections on the date and mintmark. I did try to get good images. I also went to see if this year had any recorded errors marked for this coin and didn't find anything. Your thoughts, please...

Are there sites I can go to to understand more about doubling?

    Looks like either worn die or plating spread. I'll let the experts chime in. In any case, this is very common and of no value except for education. Type in "Doubled Die" and "Worn Die" on Google and prepare to spend a few hours reading. :)
