Quick EBay Question

I bought a graded item and was unhappy with it upon receipt. The seller had a 30 day return policy and told me to go ahead and return it, and immediately refunded my money before I even shipped it back or opened a return on eBay.

That was nice of him, but the problem is it is now showing up as an unpaid item for me. Anyone know what the easiest way to rectify this is? Can the transaction be cancelled, or can I still open a return even though I have already been refunded?

Does it even matter if it is listed as an unpaid item as long as the seller isn’t going to pursue it?

He should be canceling the transaction so he gets his fees back but it doesn't have any impact on you.

I won’t get an unpaid item strike unless he were to pursue it?

I thought you couldn’t cancel a transaction when the item has already been shipped?

He has to file an NPB for you to get an unpaid strike.

I'm not certain but once you refund the purchase price, I believe there is an option for that.
