Need help: Is this a PSA 8 or 9? (86 Fleer Jordan)

Am guessing the whiting on the edges prevents a 9? Centering seemingly justifies a 9.

It's a beautiful card. The back reveals a couple of corners with some wear so that's probably enough to knock it down to at least an 8. If that was the case- and given the overall eye appeal and centering- I think it'd sell for what higher end 8s bring.

Scans can "magnify" white on edges and corners. Hard to say but could get a 9. 8.5?

It got an 8 a couple years ago. Was hoping for a 9. It was after they rolled out half grades so an 8.5 was on the table. I see some 9s out there with much worse centering and similar corners.

In the scan the corners are a little soft. I don't think it deserves a 9 but perhaps the scan is magnifying the corner damage.

I've always found that for 86 Fleer you need sharp corners for 9s unless your grader is feeling very generous.
