Need help with signed baseball please

Hey guys, so I was given this baseball by my Grandad who’s sadly passed away but I can’t seem to work out who’s signature is on the baseball. As I was given it when I was a bit younger, I can’t remember whether I was told who’s it is or what the story was behind it.
Having look researched who it could be myself, it looks a bit like the “Babe” from Babe Ruth and “Young” from Cy Young but I don’t know if I’m right or not or just wishing it to be that. I think the first bit is possibly “Larry” but the only person I think it could be for Larry Young is the baseball umpire. Any help?

    A player named Babe Young played in the majors between 1936 and 1948. It may be him.
