1990 Fleer Basketball Jumbo Box Break

Decided to do this one separate from my thread. I picked up two of these boxes the other day. Here is a video of me opening the first Got a few solid cards from this one.

Great break Ben. Seeing those 1990 Fleer bring back a lot of memories. I still love looking at those blue bordered rookie sensation cards. Thank you for sharing!

Well I had to open the other box as well. I'm not sure if I will upload the video of that one. I have a strong suspicion that it was searched for Jordan cards. I pulled none from the second box. I also got no Bird's or Magic's in that box either. The funny thing is I pulled a bunch of David Robinson's from the second box. Anyhow here are some pics of my PSA candidates from the two boxes.

Those Robinson RS look nice. He was the cat's pajamas even before this stuff was released. I would think if they had been searched, they'd have been searched for RS cards. Crazy stuff can happen. I just opened 94 -- yes, 94 -- 1991 Topps baseball cellos without pulling a single Chipper. In a SSS like one box anything can happen.

Some of the cards from the set are deceptively rare. It took me more than ten years to hunt down a copy of the Scottie Pippen card, and even then it's bent with weak corners. Been looking for an upgrade since 2002. I won't spend money on one since I already have an example, but I haven't even seen one. Probably could nab one on COMC but I am not going to do that.

Also, there are quite a few back variations in this set. I just learned about the stripe/no stripe and now I need to check all my duplicates again.

These were heavily collated. I think the 2nd box is suspect if you did find any Isiah Thomas cards and no Jordan.

The wax packs and racks follow a different sequence--when you see Bryon Scott, comes Michael Jordan. Did you pull any David Robinson Rookie Sensations in the 2nd box?

Yea I pulled a few in the second box. Even had one pack with two in it. The second box was weirs for sure. It still turned out OK though since I pulled the rookies. I just thought it odd that if you are gonna search it you would have wanted to get the Robinson cards as much of not more than the Jordan ones.
