Central America recovery

I have been absent from the coin market as aging parents have been taking most of my time. I was wondering if anyone had a list by date and mint mark of the $20 gold coins from the most recent recovery.

You can see the numbers show up in the pop report as they are graded.

If they've found small items like gold teeth, I dont see a third expedition to the S.S. Central America. They've completely picked the wreck over.
I mean what's next, One Eyed Willie's jewel encrusted eye patch?

I had the same thought, wonder if this is it. Would make sense, I’m sure it’s not cheap or easy to get down there.

I wonder if they sell any other relics from the ship? I dont want to drop big bucks on a gold coin (even though they are fascinating) but I'd throw a couple hundred down for a bolt or a rusty nail from this "ship of gold." Ever hear of the sale of other artifacts?

I'd recommend a PCGS slab with a pinch of gold dust for $145...IMHO better than a rusty nail...

I wonder how many 1856-S dimes are in the 9000 found...

It's interesting to note that several copper cents, including US large cents, and even a flying eagle cent were also recovered... Along with a US silver dollar (unknown year), Seated & early bust quarters, dimes, and half dimes, and halves.
