Explanation please

I just bought a 2.5 gm Pamp Suisse Lady Fortuna in assay from my local bullion dealer for $110. It is the no veriscan type. I looked at Apmex and the price difference between veriscan and non veriscan is about $45. Why is this? Maybe non veriscan is older, but that is a big difference. Apmex prices are high imo, but why that much for this little hunk of gold. Thanks in advance.
