LOose cards under vending box lid??

Hi, just opened a vending box of 1985 Topps. There were about 8 cards strewn on top of the rest under the lid. Vending collation patterns appeared to be there and centering seemed consistent. Anyone seen anything like this before?

Yes...sometimes the factory workers threw extras under the lid.

Seen this for 1980's but not earlier decades

Same here. I've opened some 84 baseball vending and found some loose ones on top. Should be good to go.

I busted several 84s last year and a few had the loose cards as you described. One actually had a few cards folded between the top and front at a 90deg angle. Was suspicious at first, but the boxes yielded Donnie Baseball and Straw rookies so I knew they were legit.

Conundrum - Loving my unopened baseball card collection....but really like ripping too

    Yep. Often. Especially with Topps
