Questions and Advice from early Heritage Collectors

Heritage is by far my favorite modern baseball product. I love the old school designs and the quality card stock, and the boxes display quite nicely too. They're also a fun rip!

I recently completed my box run of 2001 to 2018. I've ripped at least one box from 2004 to 2018. I have a spare hobby box of 2001 and 2003, as well as a pair of 2002 blasters.

I'm debating whether to rip them or store them for future sale. I'm very much leaning towards ripping. But obviously any redemptions would be expired, so I'm interested to know what the hits were like during those years. Were most autos inserts or redemptions? For 2001, no Pujols or Ichiro kinda hurts. And anything short of a solid auto or key chrome seems like a losing proposition, outside of the experience factor. 2002 and 2003 seem similar. Hit or be hit.

Is there a market for some of these cards? While I wouldn't expect to sell them individually, if there were a trade market for them so I could complete some of my more recent Heritage sets, it might make it worth it.

Would appreciate any input from the old-school Heritage group.

I've ripped quite a few 01 boxes, never hit any ink and maybe 1 or 2 chrome. The odds are much much tougher than other years. As far as the sps, I think they still sell well, but are only worth a few bucks each. So I'd think keep sealed. I have a few as well and debating the same. Aside from the Mays autoproof, tough crack

I would instead just buy the sets and keep the wax boxes as is...so you have the best of both worlds!
