David Lawrence 'Numismatic Masters' Auction Featuring Coins from D.L. Hansen Collection

I got an email from DLRC promoting some mighty high-powered coins from the D.L. Hansen Collection in this auction. Some of the coins will apparently be on exhibit in Baltimore. There are apparently his duplicates as he has upgraded coins, as well as coins that " did not fit into his overall collecting goals." 300 coins.
I can't say I'm surprised by this, given the recent announcements. I wonder how this will affect the current big auction houses ... and more tantalizingly, what else might be forthcoming in future auctions? Many of us would gladly eat the crumbs from the Hansen table.

It will be interesting to see how these perform.

I'll probably say "I'd like to see his upgrade for _________" a lot going through these. Is his current inventory public to view?
Right off the bat I'd love to see his upgrade for the 1871 3cS MS68CAC piece.
Well, "visible" is pretty much an understatement but many numismatists including this one are glad his sets are open for viewing such wonderful coins. Here you go.

Does anyone have any leads on how to contact D.L. Hansen?
Thanks, Leo

Thanks!
@PhilLynott his current 1871 3cs is apparently "only" an MS66. Maybe his focus lies elsewhere.
Kind regards,
George
Leo, I'd be happy to relay a message or coins for you.

He is building 734 Registry sets, it would be most difficult to pinpoint just where that focus lies.

having the opportunity for collectors to acquire these coins is healthy for the market. we need coins to keep circulating and not disappearing forever. the market has a huge demand for nice coins right now.
good luck on your sales....
RE: "...we need coins to keep circulating and not disappearing forever."
But --- will they still be "mint state" if they are circulating?
RE: 1905 50c NGC Proof 67.
Is scribbling at the chin line normal?
Well, that's an interesting statement...there is certainly a focus on which sets are priorities, but when great coins come available that aren't typically on the market, sometimes you have to stray from the primary focus...
