Happy 80th Joe

Former Minnesota Vikings QB Joe Kapp turns 80 years old today. It's been a long time since he led the Vikings to the Super Bowl. That was Super Bowl IV in 1970 which they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. The Bears were pretty bad at the time so I remember rooting for the Vikings. I enjoyed watching Kapp a lot, especially when he would scramble and try to leap over defenders. He didn't have a great arm, in fact, it was pretty bad, but he was a good leader. I only have his 1969 Topps football card. Anyone else have any cards or memories of him?

I remember the SB game. I was rooting for the Vikings. IIRC he made some guest acting appearances on some TV police shows after his playing days were over.

Great leader, when he was awarded the Vikings team MVP he declined it saying it was a team effort. 40 players for 60 minutes.
