One Rupee Restrikes

Dear All,

I have recently been glancing through a Krause World Coins and noticed that the British India coins like the Rupee often had lots of restrikes. It reads like these are modern restrikes, with old dates? This has got me wondering if my 1912 One Rupee is genuine or a restrike made in modern times in the 60s/70s. Forgive me if I have got the wrong end of the stick. But if the restrikes are what I think they are, then, how can you tell the difference? Thank you. Ashley
