What are some of the slang terms used for someone who is a "collector"?

Working on a potential documentary as well as a TV showed focused on the world of sports memorabilia. I've heard the term "racker" before but I'm wondering if there are other terms used to label someone with an affinity for collecting sports memorabilia. Figured this is as good a place as any to get the real scoop. Please help me out here folks!

"ripper" for someone who opens packs.
"flipper" for someone that intentionally buys something to then resell for a profit.
"grader" which is kind of obvious,someone who grades cards.

Hiya Tony and welcome!

I have to say, I've been collecting full time since around 1989 and I've never heard the slang "racker" for collector - looked it up and I now have a new word.

The only other term I've heard and this involves those who "think" they're at the apex of the hobby - "Advanced Collector"
or "Serious Collector."

I'm kind of a cross between a pack rat and an incurable collector.

On a related note I remember asking a cashier at the grocery store I used to frequent at the time what the new slang was nowadays, you know like how in the 60s you had groovy and in my gen (80s/90s) you had "sike!", "NOT!!" and of course by the time I entered college at the start of the new millennium...

looking like the name of the show is most likely going to be "Rackers, Pack Rats, Breaking Wax, Mint Condition or Limited Edition" The premise of the show, (still confidential) needs to include a "regular guy" approach and almost mistaken good fortune of people who find these things rather than those like you guys, who hunt them down. We use pieces of paper with pictures of men on them to buy stuff! Back to our regularly scheduled program, Beckett in the 90s would often use the term hobbyist...not to be confused with a lobbyist on Capitol Hill!! So if Beckett had a special interest group in Washington at the time, and they happened to also collect cards, would that make them lobbyist hobbyists?
