First Jemele, now Michael are out as sportscenter at 6 anchors. good for them. couldnt have happened to two nicer, more tolerant people (sarcasm filter on)

George Brett, Roger Clemens and Tommy Brady.

    Couldn't agree with ya more.

Set aside their non-sports antics which made national headlines, the sports commentary on their show was horrible...boring and unwatchable. They always managed to state the obvious, again and again and again.

you mean you guys actually watch ESPN?? I will watch a game if that's where it's shown but nothing else. to be honest, I have no idea who those men even are.

There were a few times while watching the end of a show with Stephen A and Skip Bayless, that I was consuming a delicious hoagie and was too lazy to pickup the remote...and the show with Michael Smith and Jemele followed it, so I watched the beginning of their show a few times, less than five minutes each time because I just couldn't stand it. They sounded like two chickens clucking at each other, interrupting each other, and nothing at all interesting to say anyway.

ESPN has to be hemorrhaging viewers. many moons ago, my day was incomplete if i didn't watch SportsCenter. nowadays if i land on one of their channels, i'm begging for that time back if it's not an actual game.

Yes, this is the correct answer. I don’t watch anything associated with opinion and that’s what ESPN became years ago. I enjoyed it when it was about sports. Any credibility they had, which was little at the time, got flushed when they praised Bruce Jenner as a hero

The tide turned for ESPN when they switched their target market from All Sports Fans to Obama Voters.....and began censoring the conservative opinion and boosting the left wing side. Getting political in business is suicide....your gonna lose market share from one side or the other.

I stopped watching ESPN years ago, they are a political show first with sports being a far second

Could be worse...The View is not only a mostly liberal chicks only club (the token conservative spot seems to change more than our underwear) but it seems to get more and more obnoxious and hard on the ears over time (why do they need to shout over each other all the time???). Hope you don't get stuck in a waiting room with them on the TV!!!

Traditionally isn't sports where you go to get away from politics and other complicated grown up sorts of things? And at least on the occasions where there was some, like when Ali gave up his title and went to prison rather than shoot some guys who never called him [blank], it was for truly worthwhile causes and real sacrifices were made for their beliefs...not like today where Colin Krapernick only did the kneeling thing because he knew it'd make him a media/celeb darling. And those that followed only did it to follow some trend.

Maybe if Jenner came out as a TG a couple of decades prior then maybe a case could be made for truly striking a blow for the LGBT movement. But noooooo, Jenner waited until he-->she could make himself-->herself a media/celeb darling.

Agree completely. Although I believe anyone has a right to their opinion and a right to spout off as he sees fit. But I do like to get away from the news and politics of the day by enjoying a well played sporting event.
