I sent a kid near Boston...that I don't know, will never meet, who is 8 years old, extra Red Sox cards that I had. This of course with the permission of his dad, who out of the blue decided to buy a Bill Lee card from me. Odd thing happened!! He was from a city where I spent many a Summer with my Aunt and cousins. Beautiful memories of those days...we began to exchange emails and he knew where I used to go as a kid and where my Aunt once lived. Talk about reaching out and touching someone!!

Now, the young guy sent me the coolest thank you note that you could ever get...precious. So, last week I was finally putting all my Red Sox stuff in a spreadsheet and had several extra Red Sox team sets. I contact the dad to get the ok, to send more cards, of course he was happy for my kindness to his son...I find out this kid does lemonade stands in the Summer, and guess what?
He gives the money he makes to a local homeless shelter!! KARMA INDEED

This young guy doesn't know it, but I'll be periodically sending him a few factory sealed Topps sets. So, it costs me the value of the set, and the shipping, maybe $50 total, but the feeling you get inside can't be bought ANYWHERE.
