Long-lost Babe Ruth radio interview resurfaces

A long-lost radio interview with Babe Ruth, considered by many to be the greatest baseball player ever, has been found. The 1943 recording was made during World War II and gives intimate details of Ruth's life, touching on subjects such as how he gripped his bat and how he got his nickname.

Thanks for that. I liked hearing him talking about his pitching career.

Interesting that Ruth would say that the pitcher who gave him the most trouble was Hub Pruett who had just a 4.63 lifetime ERA and only 29 MLB wins. But Pruett did have a pretty good rookie year which is probably what Ruth remembered about him.

  • Awesome interview. Thanks for sharing.

Good luck with that Ruth baseball.

Frankly, it looks good, but that's just a guess on my part.

I've never done this, but i think PSA has some sort of service whereby you can send them a pic of the ball, and for a fee, they will give you their opinion on whether it is likely genuine or not. Of course they won't certify it genuine without having it in hand. Should be more info about this on their website.

    Thanks for sharing this, Steve.

Baseball's GOAT...would have made the HOF as either a pitcher or a hitter..

I don't think you can put something like that in a PSA holder.
