I was going through some boxes (FINALLY) after moving about a year ago and imagine my surprise when I found this! I know, it's in terrible shape because I displayed it on a corkboard when I was a kid. Michael signed it for me after visiting the Nike factory in Memphis. Despite it's condition, I'm THRILLED to have found it.

I'd get it in a PSA/DNA slab

That's nice. It would be worth getting it restored for display.

Very good attempt at a fake, but the below section gives it away IMHO. Way too sloppy.

The biggest lesson I've learned in this hobby, and in life, is that if you have a strong conviction, you owe it to yourself to see it through. Don't sell yourself, or your investments, short. Unless the facts change. Then sell it all.
It looks like a pre-printed facsimile to me.
Anyone think this has a shot at being legit?
Ruined a perfectly good golf ball!!
While I'm no expert, that was my first thought.

I'm on the facsimile side of the fence here.
Here is a link to the item in much better condition, which leads me to believe this is NOT a facsimile.

Welcome to the forum! Very cool promo card and nice discovery from your childhood.
Cool, send it in.
A facsimile auto would look like a Jordan auto. This "auto" just looks wrong considering the countless examples out there.
But the one you referenced isn't signed.

IMO, all three autographs are the same, therefore pre-printed.

I think your right.

I worked for the printer in the 1980's that printed the card in question. Hopefully I attached a photo of the signature that I think was used. Any thoughts?
MJ's signature changed over the years. If you look at examples from '81 to present day you can see what I mean. That definitely looks like an early one.
As far as it being a facsimile is another story.
I'm all about that Jordan stuff. Cards, stickers, posters & whatever else is cool. The rarer the better. And always in a PSA 10 if I can help it.
Any other big Jordan nuts out there let me know.
